Choose photographs that tell your story
Build a dating profile with current photographs, useful variety and thoughtful privacy choices.
Start with a recognizable portrait
Choose a recent photograph where your face is clear and the light is natural. You do not need a professional shoot. A relaxed expression and an uncluttered background help someone recognise you. Use photographs of yourself and avoid edits that substantially change your appearance. There is no single look that a trans person should have.
Add something to talk about
A second photograph can show a hobby, a favorite setting or your everyday style. Pick details that you would enjoy discussing. Ask permission before including another person, and avoid using a group photograph as your only introduction. You can express attraction and personality without feeling obliged to share intimate images.
Review the background before uploading
Look for visible addresses, work badges, tickets and other details you would rather keep private. Check how the image crops on a phone: your face should remain visible in a small thumbnail. Revisit your selection when your appearance or preferences change. Your profile is an introduction you control, not a demand to reveal every part of your life.
